In the midst of the greatest refugee crisis in world history, with 70 million people forcibly displaced from their homes due to political instability, Bethany Global has signed an agreement with the United Nations High Commission on Refugees to provide mental health and child welfare to Venezuelan refugees in Cúcuta, Colombia.

An estimated 2.6 million Venezuelans have been compelled to leave their country since the beginning of this crisis, the majority of whom are women and children. Bethany’s agreement with UNHCR provides critical family-based care, including training of community members, government staff, and refugees. A welcome center has been established, which provides refugees with basic needs, such as food, clothing, hygiene, and first aid kits.
