Jennifer Schmeichel
Branch Director - Waukesha
Jenny Schmeichel joined Bethany Christian Services in 2005. She has been blessed in her life by adoption both personally and professionally. Jenny and her husband adopted two daughters from China through Bethany’s international program. Jenny graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with her Master’s degree in social work in 2000. In 2016, she earned her certificate in Adoption Competency.
Claudia M. King
Regional Director of Philanthropy
Claudia joined the team at Bethany in 2021, and brings a background in law enforcement, marketing, and nonprofit development. Claudia is a graduate of Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a minor in Finance. Claudia lives in Breckenridge, Colorado, with her husband, Lee, and their two Pekingese dogs, Rocky and Chance. Claudia enjoys concerts, kickboxing, snowboarding, baking, reading, skydiving, and running. Claudia has run one marathon and three half marathons, including one at nearly two miles elevation!
Debra A. Adamus
Assistant Branch Director - Waukesha
Debra (Deb) has a master’s degree in counseling. She is licensed as a Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor, and Clinical supervisor. She has nearly 40 years of experience in the substance use disorder field. She has worked as a counselor, family educator, program director, and program manager. She has worked in many treatment settings from inpatient, to outpatient, and residential services. Deb brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her work and has remained steadfast in her passion to provide quality addiction and mental health services.
Donna Lehman
Administrative Assistant - Waukesha
Donna Lehman joined Bethany Christian Services in 2004 as an administrative assistant. Recently, she has been assisting families with their education requirements for their adoptions and is the adoption education assistant. She enjoys this new responsibility, as no family dynamic or adoption is the same.. She is originally from Massachusetts and earned her degree in executive studies from Salter College. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, participating in book clubs, walking her dog, Hope, biking and hiking with her daughter.
Kathryn Koeffler
Administrative Manager - Waukesha
Kathy Koeffler joined Bethany Christian Services in 2001. She supports the domestic and international programs and pregnancy counseling, as well as handling the administrative tasks in the office. Since 2014, she has taken on new responsibilities with the addition of an outpatient mental health clinic in the Waukesha office. Outside of work, Kathy enjoys hiking, gardening, and spending time with her son.
Wendy Rhodes
Pregnancy Counselor - Waukesha
Wendy Rhodes is a pregnancy counselor who has been with Bethany Christian Services for over ten years. She has a passion for coming alongside expectant parents as they work toward parenting or making an adoption plan. Wendy received her social work degree from Carroll University. She enjoys hiking, sunshine, and spending time with her husband and two children.
