Bethany in Jackson
Bethany Christian Services of Jackson opened in 1984 to provide pregnancy counseling and domestic infant adoption. Soon afterwards, in 1985, Bethany opened an office in Hattiesburg, followed by another office in Columbus in 1993. Bethany provides services to clients across Mississippi, from the Gulf Coast to the Tennessee line. We are here to serve you with compassion and respect. Our services now include pregnancy counseling, domestic infant adoption, international adoption, and post-adoption counseling and services. In the Jackson Metro area, we provide a Safe Families for ChildrenTM ministry that provides temporary housing for children when families are in crisis.
What We Do in Jackson, Mississippi
Children in foster care have faced hardship and pain during their lives. When returning to their biological family is not an option, they need a safe place to call home, with a family to provide them with the love and care. There are more than 100,000 children in foster care who are available for adoption and they are waiting for a family like yours.
Our goal is to help expectant parents, and the adoptive families they choose, to make the adoption plan that works best for them and the child they both love.
Many children around the world are waiting for a forever family. Their early lives have included things like orphanages, abandonment, malnutrition, and even abuse—but they can thrive in a loving and nurturing home. Can you open your heart and home to one of these children?
Whether you are an adoptive parent, a birthparent, or were adopted yourself, our staff is dedicated to supporting you by providing you with the support, information, and resources you need through our clinical counseling services.
We are here for you. The choices that you make will be life-changing and we are here to help support you. You are not alone.
A national movement of compassion that helps families and children in crisis. This network of volunteer host families help parents who need temporary care for their children as they face unmanageable or critical circumstances.
